Augustine's restored historic district, the inn is rich in Old World charm and modern comforts. The inn, built in 1791, is constructed of coquina limestone which is made up of broken shells and coral. The entrance faces a courtyard containing lush banana trees, bougainvillea, jasmine and other exotic flora. Two courtyards, several balconies, porches and patios are perfect places for guests to read, write, paint or just restfully contemplate. Each accommodation in this Spanish colonial building is unique, all have private baths, antiques or quality reproductions, central AC and heat, phones, color cable TV. Several have fireplaces, two-person whirlpool tubs and kitchenettes. A two bedroom, two bath cottage (formerly the slave quarters and later the cookhouse for the main building) is ideal for a family or two couples. Inn guests enjoy a hearty, complimentary full breakfast, private parking, complimentary admission to the nation's oldest house, use of inn bikes and swimming pool.

If traveling South, take exit 95. Go East on Rte 16 to the intersection of US-1. Turn right on US-1 and go 3 stop lights to the intersection of King Street. Take a left on King and go for 4 stop lights to the intersection of St. George Street. Take a right on St. George...the parking lot is 2 blocks down on the right and the inn is on the left. If traveling North on I-95, take exit 94. Go east on Rte 207 to the intersection of US-1. Go left on US-1 to the next stoplight, which is the intersection of King Street. Take a right on King and go 4 stoplights to the intersection of St. George Street. Take a right on St. George and follow the directions as above.

The Cottage

The Cottage - 2 Double Beds-Sofabed Sofabed-2 Bedrooms-2 Bathrooms-Fireplace The cottage is a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom separate building overlook the inns courtyard. It was formerly the cookhouse/slave quarters for the main house and features an eat-in kitchen, living room with fireplace and sleeper sofa. It is ideal for families.

This delightful room offers guests a view of the garden from the inns highest point. Ballerina...Named because of its magnigicent portrait of a young ballerina above the fireplace, this lovely room is furnished with a queen bed and private bath with double jacuzzi tub and modern shower.
