Located at the bottom of Tampa Bay our island has managed to retain the feel of a laid-back old Florida. On our island it really is all about beach strolls, quaint restaurants and great accommodations. The Silver Surf Gulf Beach Resort offers 50 laid back Florida style accommodations. Most feature mini kitchens. Amenities include private white sand beach, out door heated pool, outdoor grills, complimentary beach towels, beach lounge chairs & umbrellas and beach volleyball. Bicycle, scooter, wave runner & sailboat rentals available on the property. The turquoise "Island Trolley" will take you the entire length of this beautiful 7 mile island - free of charge. Visit the recently restored Bridge Street Pier where you can now fish for cobia, grouper, mackerel, mullet, pompano, sea bass and snapper. Located at the end of historic Bridge Street "The Pier" is part of the original plank bridge that served as the access to the island from the mainland for 40 years.

Directions

Tampa International Airport(TPA):

Tampa International Airport(TPA) is located 55 Miles North from the property. Exit Airport and follow signs for Interstate 275 South. You will go across a long bridge/causeway called the Howard Franklin Bridge. Follow signs going south to St. Petersburg. Keep going south. There will be a cutoff to the right for Bradenton right near Tropicana Field. Tropicana Field will be on your left. You will see signs for the Sunshine Skyway Bridge. When you cross the Bridge, you take the exit marked US Route 19. This will merge with US 41. Shortly after that merge, you will see two roads forking from the one. Take the left fork marked Sarasota and Bradenton. Follow this south through Palmetto. You will cross a river into Bradenton. As you cross the bridge, there is a sign at the upcoming intersection that says Anna Maria Island. Turn right onto State Road 64, which is also Manatee Avenue. Follow Manatee Avenue all the way to Anna Maria Island. As you go across the drawbridge onto the island, there will be a traffic signal, turn left onto East Bay Drive. Follow this south for 2 miles. Arrive at resort on the left. 1301 Gulf Drive North.

Gulf Aparto This room (with elevator access) features a full kitchen, king size bed, queen sleeper sofa, private bathroom with a shower and bathtub and a screened in lanai with lovely views of the Gulf of Mexico. Full kitchens are equipped with a full size refrigerator, stove, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and complete dishware.

Resort Room

Resort Room This quaint room is perfect for the minimalists. It features a mini refrigerator, coffee pot and cups. The room has a private bath with a shower stall only and queen or double wall beds. Some rooms also come equipped with chair beds. Perfect for children under 5'7". Each room is on the ground floor and has an outdoor sitting area with table and chairs.

Two Person Studio Suites

Two Person Studio Suites This 2nd and 3rd floor room (with elevator access) features a mini kitchen, king size bed, loveseat, bathroom with a shower and bathtub. Mini kitchens are equipped with a sink area, small refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and selective dishware.

Studio Aparto

Studio Aparto This ground floor unit features a full kitchen, queen size bed, 2 chair beds (perfect for children under 5'7"), a private bathroom with a stall shower only and an outdoor patio area with table and chairs. Full kitchens are equipped with a full size refrigerator, stove, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and complete dishware.

Studio Suite(Suite)

Studio Suite These 2nd and 3rd floor rooms feature mini kitchens, king, queen or twin size beds, table and chairs for 4, queen sleeper sofas, private bathrooms with showers and bathtubs. Mini kitchens are equipped with a sink area, small refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and selective dishware for 4 people.
